The Men of Sylvester Street
A few years ago I took my daughter to the Delaware shore and we visited Rehoboth Beach. We live near the beach ourselves, but I like to visit other coastal towns to see how they’re set up. One thing I noticed about Rehoboth Beach that we don’t have at home: there’s a dedicated LGBT neighborhood. I thought, I really would like to write some stories set in a place like this.
I came up with Sylvester Street, the LGBT neighborhood of fictional Archer Beach and jotted down some potential story titles shortly after our visit. The first two stories, parts of which have appeared in Sexy To Go collections, are now available in eBook here.
It’s 1989, and somebody is prowling Jackson Park, assaulting men who go cruising after dark. Officer Jeremy Truman is determined to keep the people of Archer Beach safe, and that goes double for his friends on Sylvester Street…triple for Colin.Colin feels responsible for a tourist getting assaulted by the Jackson Street Jumper. He wants to take justice into his own hands, despite Tru’s protests. It’s up to Tru to solve the case before Colin gets hurt.
Anson Fox is thrilled to start a new life in this Atlantic coastal town, and he feels right at home among the active LGBT community. Working at Sinclair Realty is a dream come true, and his handsome boss is heaven sent.
Adrian Sinclair isn’t new to Archer Beach, but he’s only recently come out. He’s willing to show the new guy around town, if Anson returns the favor.
Bonus story, He’s So Sly. Terence and Evan have known each other forever. They may have made a great couple, but the timing was never right. Now they’re both single, and Terence wants to make up for lost time. What will it take to make Evan’s visit to Archer Beach permanent?
